EdCamp Youth Resiliency Project

VfU supported EdCamp Ukraine, an initiative to transform the educational landscape in Ukraine.

The EdCamp Ukraine project is an innovative grassroots initiative aimed at transforming the educational landscape in Ukraine by fostering a vibrant community of educators committed to continuous learning and professional development. Supported by Volunteers For Ukraine, this initiative has gained significant momentum, particularly in the challenging context of ongoing conflict and social upheaval in the country.

The EdCamp Ukraine event from June 24 to 28, 2024, marked a significant milestone in Ukraine’s educational journey, emphasizing resilience and innovation. The participation of Dane Miller, CEO of Volunteers For Ukraine, added a global dimension to the event, highlighting the vital role of international support in Ukraine’s educational renewal. This event set the stage for ongoing collaboration and continued advancements in the Ukrainian educational landscape.

The theme of the 2024 EdCamp event centered around “Resilience and Innovation in Education During Crisis”. This focus was chosen in response to the ongoing war in Ukraine and the profound impact it has had on the country’s educational system. The event emphasized the importance of adaptive teaching strategies, mental health support for both teachers and students, and the integration of digital tools to maintain educational continuity.
